Environmental labelling of products

Les Salins du Midi and La Baleine are taking part in a trial of environmental labelling on products.
A flagship commitment of the Grenelle Environment Forum, environmental labelling is a tool designed to help CONSUMERS make purchasing decisions that favour the most ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY products.
This new labelling scheme is based on a multi-criteria approach to environmental impacts:
• GREENHOUSE EFFECT: Greenhouse gas emissions
• WATER: Water consumption
• BIODIVERSITY: Impact on flora and fauna
• NATURAL RESOURCES: Depletion of natural resources
