Salins is a salt "pure player", exclusively devoted to the production and marketing of sodium chloride ("salt"). The raw or processed salt is destined for the human food, agriculture, chemical industry, de-icing, water treatment, and industrial activity markets.

The group records an annual consolidated turnover close to 250 million euros.

Salins is the only European producer to implement the three types of production technology (solar, thermal and mining) and the group has an installed production capacity of 3.7 million tonnes, broken down as follows :

Sea salt:     2.3 MT
 Vacuum salt: 0.8 MT
  Rock salt:    0.6 MT

The group employs approximately 1,000 people at its European facilities.
