With almost 150 years of know-how, and the tradition of salt production stretching back over the millennia, SALINS products comply with particularly stringent requirements. Because salt is naturally white when it does not contain impurities, it is this whiteness which acts as a gauge of its purity and quality.

The ISO 9001 V2000 certification which has been obtained for all our production sites, as well as the recent NF (French standards) label for water softener tablets, illustrate Salins’ commitment to consistently high quality standards.

SALINS has signed the Salt Quality Charter for table salts, written in association with DGCCRF (The French Administration for Competition, Consumption and the Prevention of Fraud) by the Comité des Salines de France, a professional organisation which groups together all salt producers established in France.

To guarantee consumers a salt of impeccable quality, SALINS is committed to:
- Fully respect the regulations in place concerning hygiene and the health and safety of personnel as set out in the Consumers Code.
- Guarantee that the salt and its constituents are of sufficiently high quality for consumption.
- Participate, through salt supplements, to a policy of prevention of health problems related to iodine and fluoride deficiencies.
- Protect the environment through the implementation of an ISO 14000 certification policy.
- Ensure the identification and traceability of the finished product.
